COMPLIANCE OVERVIEW
Last updated: October 6, 2025.
The Colorado River District has taken steps to develop a comprehensive process to comply with OIT’s Rules, the WCAG 2.1 AA Standards, and all other applicable accessibility rules and regulations. These steps include, by way of example and not limitation, contracting with a third-party consultant to conduct an audit of the Colorado River District’s current Information and Communication Technology (“ICT”) to assess compliance, identify areas where issues need to be addressed, provide manual accessibility testing of the Colorado River District’s ICT, and improve accessibility across all ICT. Furthermore, with the assistance of our accessibility consultant, the Colorado River District has initiated training for key staff on the procurement, development, maintenance, and remediation processes for all ICT.
To date, all Colorado River District has undergone an initial assessment and many remediations have been completed. Some ICT still needs to be evaluated, and additional remediations may need to occur. The River District has prioritized the identification of specific website content, namely PDF documents, that are not fully accessible, with the intent of remediating these PDFs to the furthest extent practicable. The process we’ve developed includes a plan to continuously monitor and, if necessary, to update our website and website content to meet accessibility standards.
