Colorado River District to Host 2025 Annual Water Seminar: Across Divides
Full-day event to be held at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction on October 3rd
GRAND JUNCTION, Colorado — The Colorado River District will host its 2025 Annual Water Seminar, “Across Divides,” on Friday, October 3, at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction. The one-day event will convene regional leaders, policymakers, and West Slope water users to explore the biggest issues facing Colorado’s water future and the divides that must be bridged to move forward together.
“The divides we face in western water are real – geographic, political, generational, and hydrologic. But the only way to protect our communities and our rivers is to face those divides head-on,” said River District General Manager Andy Mueller. “This seminar is our chance to make our voice heard as we explore the divides, not to deepen them, but to find the common ground we all need so Colorado can thrive.”
“The water doesn’t care about party lines or county lines, but it’s the lifeblood of every community in this state,” said River District Board President Senator Marc Catlin. “The Annual Seminar is where we can have tough conversations and remind ourselves that water connects us all.”
The 2025 Annual Water Seminar, “Across Divides,” will take place on Friday, October 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Colorado Mesa University’s Meyer Ballroom in Grand Junction.
Early registration is $35 and closes Sept.29. Walk-in registration is $45; students may attend for free. Registration includes light breakfast, lunch, and happy hour beverages from our sponsors American Rivers and Palisade Brewing Company. Legal community attendees are also eligible for six (6) general CLE credits.
