Gary Martinez represents Summit County and was reappointed to the Colorado River District in January, 2025. He previously served two terms as the Summit County representative on the CRD Board through 2016.
Mr. Martinez was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, earned undergraduate and graduate degrees at Miami University, Ohio, and relocated to Colorado in 1976.
Mr. Martinez has more than 35 years of governmental and private sector management and development experience while serving as the Town Manager of Breckenridge, Summit County Manager and with East West Partners as the Managing Partner of the Eagle Ranch development in Eagle, Colorado. He has been actively involved in water related matters while at the Northwest Colorado Council of Governments, as a member of Clinton Ditch and Reservoir Company and throughout the negotiations on the Colorado River Water Cooperative Agreement.
Mr. Martinez lives in Breckenridge and continues to serve on numerous non-profit boards in Summit County and Denver.
Mr. Martinez’s current term expires January, 2028.
