Wolford Mountain Reservoir to fill this month; high water levels to be maintained through summer

Located on Muddy Creek in Grand County, Colorado, Wolford Mountain Reservoir was completed in May of 1995. The reservoir represents a new era in water projects – one that features cooperation, not competition, among Colorado’s water users.

Wolford Mountain Reservoir provides much needed water storage for the Colorado River Basin plus an enhanced environment. The reservoir, owned and operated by the Colorado River District, represents a model of cooperation and improvement that sets the stage for future water projects in Colorado.

Wolford Mountain Reservoir offers 1,550 surface acres for recreation and on-shore recreational facilities that include:
