Two new faces at the Colorado River District

The Colorado River District welcomed two new team members in March.

Amy Moyer is the new director of strategic partnerships, heading up the recently created Partnership Project Funding Program. Amy most recently worked for the Colorado Department of Natural Resources as the Assistant Director for Water and Governor Polis’ Water Advisor. Amy now works with local communities and project sponsors to award funding to multibenefit projects using new revenue from ballot measure 7A passed overwhelmingly by West Slope voters in November 2020. Outside of the office, Amy enjoys running, hiking, traveling and spending time with her family and dogs in the great outdoors.

Raquel Flinker joined the technical team as a senior water resources engineer/project manager. Raquel is a registered professional engineer in water resources with her most recent experience at the city of Aspen and will be using her skills and background to provide technical advocacy and support to West Slope water users with a focus on the Gunnison River Basin. Raquel has a great sense of adventure and enjoys hiking, skiing and exploring the Roaring Fork Valley with her family.
